Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white rice
  • 4 cup milk

  • 2 tsp raisins

Instructions

  • Rinse the rice well under cold water to remove excess starch. Place the rice in a medium-sized pot and add 1 cup of water. Then, cook the rice over medium heat until all the water is absorbed, about 10 minutes.
    Gradually add the milk to the cooked rice while stirring continuously. Then, let the mixture simmer over low heat, stirring every few minutes to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
    After about 15 minutes, add sugar and vanilla. Continue cooking and stirring until the mixture becomes creamy and thick.
    Pour the rice pudding into individual serving bowls. Garnish with ground cinnamon and raisins.
